The
James Joyce Pub established in 1993, is located just 5 minutes from the
Arc de Triomphe in the heart of Paris. Having such a prime location the
pub attracts an abundance of multi-national clients.
The bar is tastefully decorated with various James Joyce memorabilia
and many tokens of Irish history. A warm welcome is guaranteed, our service
is exceptional and our staff will be pleased to offer help with any queries
with regards to Paris and surrounding areas.
There are 12 stained glass windows in this pub which were commissioned
especially for the James Joyce by Irelands foremost stained-glass artist,
Bill Earley, in conjunction with Professor Terry Dolan of University College
Dublin, Alma Mater of James Joyce. These windows tell the story of Ulysses
chapter by chapter. Other stained-glass windows feature Irish literary
giants of the twentieth century.
Entertainment
within the James Joyce bar consists of traditional and contemporary music,
live sports coverage including GAA matches. The bar is especially popular
with rugby enthusiasts.
The James Joyce restaurant is ideally suited for lunches, business luncheons
and evening meals. The menu consists of a mixture of traditional Irish
and French cuisine. Catering for private functions is a speciality.
